Moby Dick Auto
Just like the book it’s named after, the Moby Dick Auto cannabis strain has definitely earned its place among the classics. And now, you don’t need a large grow space or plenty of time to cultivate Moby Dick at home. Thanks to the breeding work of the experts at Barney’s Farm, Moby Dick Auto allows you to harvest this classic strain in small spaces, and in just a number of weeks.
True to the original, Moby Dick Auto is a sativa-dominant cross stemming from White Widow and Haze. White Widow, thanks to its balanced profile, contributes to Moby Dick’s thick bud structure and resin production, as well as its uplifting, social effect. Meanwhile, Barney’s cup-winning G13 Haze contributes bud size, extra yield potential, and an energising, mood-boosting euphoria. Finally, Moby Dick was crossed with BF Super Auto #1, contributing top-of-the-line auto genetics.
In the grow-op, Moby Dick Auto develops thick, bright green foliage and grows to roughly 100cm indoors and 120cm outdoors (depending on pot size). Its veg cycle lasts roughly 4 weeks (like most autos) and is characterised by vigorous daily growth. Fertilise well with organic nutrients to promote microbial life in the substrate. Just make sure not to overfeed. Then, during bloom, switch to P and K-rich nutrients (also organic, if possible), and watch as your plants stretch, fatten, and start to produce their buds.
After a brief grow cycle of 65–70 days from seed to harvest, Moby Dick Auto plants will be loaded with fat, crystalline buds. Yields of up to 550g/m² are possible indoors, and the same amount per plant can be achieved under the sun. Not bad for an auto!
Moby Dick Auto’s aroma is super complex (thanks to a unique terpene combination of terpinolene, caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene), combining notes of sour lemon, pine, and spicy Haze. Meanwhile, its effect perfectly mirrors the original Moby Dick, producing a social, creative high that’ll leave you with a clear head, a positive mood, and a relaxed body. Though, with THC levels of 22%, this strain is no joke, so take things one toke at a time.
