Root Stimulator – Hydro Roots
Plagron Hydro Roots is an inorganic fertilizer designed to assist root development in a hydroponic setup. The fertilizer has phosphorus and boron that help root growth and provide resistance to the needs of plant health and, accordingly, have an effect on yield.
- Strengthening and fast development of roots: Phosphorus strengthens roots and helps their growth. It improves the root structure, which also assists in the genesis of extra roots. Phosphorus assists root cell division and growth. This process helps in enlarging the roots and simultaneously makes the roots more resistant.
- Better nutrient absorption: Boron is also a constituent of Plagron Hydro Roots beside phosphorus, and it has a perception beneficial effect on the root system. Boron increases enzymatic activity so that nutrients can be absorbed with greater efficiency by the plant. More nutrients will finally reach the plant, with better health facilitating more efficient growth. Boron also increases stress resistance in plants.
- Application in hydroponic systems: Due to Hydro Roots having no organic matter, it is ideal for use in hydroponic systems. This fertilizer does not have any organic matter; here lies its great advantage. Since it is mineral, fertilizers prevent the soiling and excessive homogenization of the soil, thus, in turn, contributing to the preservation of nutrient stocks on a long-term basis; this factor gains relevance in hydroponic cultivation. Hydro Roots Plagron can be used together with other mineral fertilizers, keeping the solution active longer. This is important when using it with other minerals.
- Better structure of the root system: Hydro Roots form a powerful and efficient root system, thus greatly increasing the health of the plant and the processes of plant growth. The roots increase in number and strength, greatly improving the supply of water and nutrients.
Usage and Dosage for Plagron Hydro Roots
Hydro Roots is used to strengthen roots in hydroponic or substrate-grown plants. The fertilizer can be administered to plants at varying stages of their cycle but is especially effective during early vegetative and beginning flowering stages.
It is important to use the correct dosage of Plagron Hydro Roots. Shake the bottle before use to stir the contents and to prevent uneven distribution in the solution, thus ensuring all components remain mutually active. Once that is done, the sort of solution preparation begins:
- Add 1 ml Plagron Hydro Roots to 1 liter of water (1:1000 ratio).
- The water used has to be clean and of the correct pH level (recommended is around 5.5-6.0 pH for hydroponic systems).
- It is better to prepare the solution once daily, or two days at the outside of an emergency. Although Hydro Roots contains no organic matter, solution stability is very important when the product is used together with other fertilizers.
Apply Hydro Roots with each watering during the vegetative stage, in other words, until the flowering stage. This is when the root structure develops. At flowering, energy is channeled into other directions, and rooting products for growth stimulation are no longer needed. If, however, one insists on fertilizing during flowering, do so only until week 3 or 4 at the most, which is less important for short-cycle plants.
It is recommended that Hydro Roots be used with Plagron Terra Bloom and Plagron Green Sensation. Using both of them together will ensure the further development of the plant. Hydro Roots exploits fast root development. Terra Bloom will nourish the plant during the flowering phase. Green Sensation will enhance the production of terpenes and essential oils. All nutrients necessary for a high-quality and abundant harvest will be provided to the plant with this combination.
⚠️Warnings:
- Never overdose; the excess of phosphorus will upset the salt balance for the plant.
- Do not use with other compounds containing root stimulants or organic materials: this may render the nutrient solution unstable.
- Do not apply on humus-based or soil-based systems: Hydro Roots is expressly made for hydroponic methods such as DWC, NFT, aeroponics, or coco substrates with a mineral line.
- Store in a dark place, at a temperature of +5°C to +25°C.
- Do not use frozen or overheated product – this may change its chemical composition.
