THE ULTIMATE has mega sized flowers. The plant remains medium sized, but the buds are XXL in size. The aroma is intense with spicy notes of pine, lemon and petrol.
This classic cannabis strain is suitable for any growing method and growing conditions.
In spite of the ongoing search of strains with ever-higher yields and shorter flowering time, breeders from Dutch Passion differentiated their new variety by saying “no” to compromise. Growing cannabis is first and foremost about getting top-quality marijuana and quantity comes second. In the case of The Ultimate, however, growers can enjoy both.
Flowering time for the nutrient hungry it is anything between 8 and 10 weeks, with the last fortnight witnessing the most dynamic growth of already fat buds. It achieves massive yields without actually growing high – the average plants will reach just 60 to 75 cm. Despite dense and juicy buds, it is relatively resistant to mold.

Careful breeding has created one of our most important strains, we call it “The Ultimate” as it combines some of the heaviest yields we have ever seen with genuine connoisseur quality. She grows to a height of around 1m, ideal for the indoor grow room. Flowering time is 8-11 weeks, with explosive bud growth in the last 2 weeks. The Ultimate is Sativa dominant and will take plenty of nutrients during the growth cycle, she is resistant to mold and bud rot making it a good greenhouse choice too. The Ultimate is very suited for taking cuttings.
THE ULTIMATE has a strong, sharp aroma. During flowering, the aroma changes several times, and at the end of flowering, it has a spicy and intense scent of pine, petrol and citrus fruits. The flavor can sometimes be slightly sweeter, but this only happens with a few phenotypes. During the last 4 weeks the smell becomes stronger and therefore it is recommended to use good carbon filters. The dried bud sometimes smells a little more earthy and spicy, but once you grind it, you’ll notice a more fruity and piney aroma.
THE ULTIMATE is one of the highest yielding cannabis strains ever created. It is a balanced 50% indica / 50% sativa strain with an excellent reputation for ease and high yield. It is a consumer favorite due to its extremely high yield and vigorous growth. This strain produces massive flowers. The leaves are a pleasant dark green, while the buds are a lighter green, filled with orange hairs. The buds look really nice and rich in trichomes. The combination of those sticky white buds and bright orange hairs will remind many growers of the best old school Skunk strains of yesteryear.
During the flowering phase, plants have medium to high stress. During this stretching period, the plants will grow both vertically and in width. Ultimate is known as a light “eater” and with enough light and perfect growing conditions, it can grow into a beautiful cannabis plant that is completely full of strong long buds. This stretch lasts an average of 3 weeks after the clock is changed to 12/12 lighting. From the moment of cessation of stretching, the development of bloom begins. At the same time the production of trichomes begins and continues at a rapid rate.
During the last 4 weeks of the flowering phase, bud production shifts into the next gear and you’ll see the flowers develop into incredibly long and heavy blooms. The buds become hard and compact, this variety likes high levels of light during the flowering phase. This 50/50 Indica/Sativa is a really nice strain. It is the choice for those looking for a balanced hybrid with mega-sized buds. In addition to its size, it is very tolerant of changes in nutrition and temperature, which makes it suitable even for novice gardeners. However, humidity during flowering should be low (<50% at all times) to prevent mold growth and bud rot.

Outdoors, it gets very large and can carry several kilograms per plant. Ultimate does well in controlled greenhouses and warm dry climates where the risk of mold is much less. In temperate / cold climates, an autoflowering version of The Ultimate called Auto Ultimate may be better.
